Oregon’s rugged coastline conjures images straight out of a Gothic romance. We will enjoy a few premiere coastal locations, take in the fresh salt air, experience the beautiful scenery, and walk through ancient forests. We will take some time to visit one of Oregon’s best known coastal towns, Cannon Beach, famous for its art galleries and shops then for a short hike through old growth fir trees to the beach at Oswald West State Park.

Before exploring Cannon Beach, we will take a short drive into Ecola State Park. The park offers one of the most commanding views of the rugged Oregon coastline, and is home to a preserved rainforest. This is the perfect place to learn about the geology that formed the rugged coastline and the mountains that lie before you.

Oswald West State Park is one of Oregon’s true gems. Take a short hike through a dense old-growth forest to Short Sands. This beach is in a beautiful cove nestled between two looming mountains; a waterfall cascades onto the sand from a nearby mountain stream. This is truly one of the most beautiful spots on the Oregon Coast.
